Earlier today, I spoke with Representative Wesley Morgan of Ky's 81st District about his decision to vote no on the upcoming pension reform effort currently underway in Frankfort. Earlier today he took to Twitter and Facebook to indicate that he would be a no vote and that he would not be a "yes man" for anyone. In fact, a colleague of his said that this reform if passed would be the equivalent of Nancy Pelosi shoving the Affordable Care Act down everyone's throats.
Representative Morgan, a republican, noted that he agreed with my assessment that the reform we need needs to do three things.
1) Properly pay for the pension for those currently drawing from it.
2) Properly pay for the pension for those currently paying into it.
3) Freeze enrollments into the pension so that no new state employees can be entered into it.
These reforms accomplish and satisfy needs on both sides of the debate.
1) State employees currently paying into or drawing from this pension program need protected so that the fool hardy promises of politicians of times past.
2) Taxpayers need to be protected from further tax burdens.
I currently pay over 910 dollars a month in taxes before my health benefits even are considered. I cannot and will not stand for being taxed more. Representative Wesley Morgan is right in saying NO to this entire fiasco. Kentucky deserves to have a calm, rational, and measured debate and decorum about Pension Reform that includes EVERYONE. No name calling, no vitriol, just mature and decisive reform.
The ultimate conversation that MUST happen is, Why should state employees get a pension? I for one accept that careers in Emergency Services such as Firefighters, Police, EMTs simply do not have a career that can last long enough to put in contributions to a retirement program that would see them through their retirement. But Teachers??? Why on this god's green Earth should teachers get pensions? Why should any public service employee outside of emergency services get to retire on a pension partially funded by taxpayers? Pensions are rare in the private sector.

Why going to college is a waste for most people
Going to college is one of my biggest regrets in life. Did I learn a lot? Sure I did. Did I meet some great people? Sure I did. Did I graduate? Yes! I have 3 university degrees. Two Associates and one Bachelors degree. All in the I.T. Field. Why do I regret going to college?
1) There was nothing that was bestowed upon me in the academics of I.T. that I could not have gotten myself through purchasing the same books and going through the training material along with the digital material that came with it.
2) Was made to take classes that had absolutely nothing to do with my desired degree. Exposed to professors that actually believe the national debt is not a problem. Exposed to professors that are there only to push SJW liberal agenda talking points.
3) Racked up more than 40,000 in Student Loan Debt.
4) EKU where I went to college doesn't place a priority in hiring their own alumni when open positions become available within the university. What is up with that? These alumni like myself invested years and over 40,000 to get an education from this institution and they don't believe in their own curriculum enough to want those same people working for them!!
5) Employers are looking for industry standard certifications, not college degrees. Not one single time in all my adventures looking for employment and interviewing with a wide variety of employers from universities to government to private sector employers do they say "We will accept your degree in lieu of certifications." Just the opposite. They would rather hire someone with certifications and years of experience rather than someone with a college education.
6) The Government's Student Loan Programs have allowed far more people go to college and obtain Bachelors Degrees thus saturating the workforce market with these degrees not only causing the sharp rise in tuition over the last 20 years, but have made the 4 year Bachelors degree pretty worthless. Associates Degrees are now viewed by employers with the same amount of worth as High School Diplomas or even GEDs.
Unless your desired work field requires a state licensure to work which requires formal university education, you are much better off pursuing skills on your own through industry certifications. You will of course have to do much more research to see what is relevant and desired by those you seek to work for, but it will save you lots of money, and headache to avoid going to college.

28th Amendment to the US Constitution
It has been 25 years since an actual amendment to the US Constitution was passed. Ironically enough, the next amendment to the US Constitution also will deal with Congressional Pay.
I call it the Balanced Budget and Congressional Law Amendment.
____________________________________________________________________________________
Section 1: Balanced Budget Amendment
Where as the American People must operate their households on a balanced budget, The United States Federal Budget must also be balanced creating zero debt. Every elected member of the US House of Representatives and US Senate along with the President of the United States must sign appropriation spending bills that are balanced and produce zero deficits.
Failing to pass a balance budget appropriations spending bills will result in immediate suspension of all congressional pay & benefits such as health, parking, etc. for those voting in the affirmative for bills that do not balance. Furthermore, each day that passes without resolving said unbalanced bill, those congressmen voting in the affirmative for unbalanced bills shall be fined 100,000 US Dollars/day. If after 30 days and the spending bill has not been resolved to balance with zero deficit, the congressman's seat will be vacated and filled according to current constitutional standards. Congressmen that are removed from their seat will be subject to civil and criminal penalties to include one million in fines and/or prison time up to 50 years.
Section 2: Congressional Law Amendment.
Where as elected officials are not above the law nor is there a different set of laws for elected officials, congress will hear by be subject to and adhere to the exact laws that they pass in their legislative body and signed into law by the President. Further more, all state and federal statute of limitations are removed from all acts of violence, sex crimes, and crimes that violate public trust laws committed while elected to office.
____________________________________________________________________________________
It is my opinion that a mere vote on this constitutional amendment will expose those who seek to get elected to spend money we do not have, perpetually increase the national debt, and live their lives above the law or on a different set of laws. This amendment would change everything about how congress operates to include the type of people that would run for office.

The Truth of how Kentucky's State House is Run!
On November 8th, 2016, two things happened in Kentucky. Kentucky went all GOP for the first time in 95 years, and Donald J. Trump became the 45th President of the United States. This is about the former rather than the latter. What I have to say may or may not come to a surprise, but it needs to be said. True conservatives that are hoping to see true conservative legislation passed by the Kentucky State House are going to be greatly disappointed. The Speaker of the House, Jeffrey Hoover, is a Republican Party man, not a true conservative. Unfortunately, this means Frankfort will continue to be business as usual. Lobbyists will continue to thrive as they influence legislation that gets heard on the House floor. The Department of Commerce will continue to dictate what gets the attention and what gets dismissed. Those with deep pockets will continue to pay to play. Those with actual principles who were newly elected on November 8th continue to basically be told to shut up or be threatened with being removed from their committees. The voters of those districts who sent newly elected representatives are simply not being given representation but yet are taxed just the same. Things must change and the only way things will change is if enough voters like me continue to show resolve to change the way Frankfort operates. This can only happen if people that have been in Frankfort for many years are replaced. They must be replaced by people who are not bought and sold by the lobbyists. Your representative whether they have been there 10 years or 5 months deserve to have their voices heard on the House floor because their voice is YOUR voice.

Cost of Hating President Trump!
Im just going to say this... Take it as you will. There is NO protected right for a refugee or immigrant to come to the United States of America...NONE!! Those that do come here from foreign lands for any purpose should be thoroughly vetted AND sponsored so that they do not become an instant drain on government tax paid services.
This faux outrage over President Trump's Executive Order that was created by former President Obama is absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt the biggest steaming pile of nonsense I've ever witnessed. This push by the media to make it look like We The People didn't precisely vote for this and mandated that our Borders be secure is nothing short of treason.
As Paul Harvey would say, And now here's the rest of the story!! In 2011, President Obama signed off on similar travel bans for 6 months. Yet no outrage, no protests, no media fear mongering took place. This is all simply because Hillary Clinton lost the election and that they are doing their best to keep your minds off of #PizzaGate. They can't handle that a President has been elected that has wasted no time in fulfilling his campaign promises. Do I agree with everything President Trump is doing? How he is doing it? No of course not! But it is refreshing to once again have a President that puts #AmericaFirst rather than one going on a global apology tour. It cannot be disputed that President Trump is acting on the best interests of America and Americans first.
Having said all this, President Trump was absolutely within his full right to fire acting Attorney General Sally Yates. Her job was not to decide the constitutionality of laws/orders. Her job is to execute those laws/orders in the defense of this nation. She publicly announced she would not, so she was appropriately fired. How long would you expect to keep your job if you went national and announced that you were going to pick and choose your job duties?
The other side of this coin is that our Federal Government for going on 16 years now have used the tragedy of 9/11 to go on an endless undeclared war spree in the middle east. Conservatives that were in favor of this from 2002-Present and the Liberals that were silent from 2009-2016 are responsible for encouraging an ill advised course of global interventionism from one country to the next creating this refugee crisis. So how dare any of them pretend to be upset at President Trump for doing what he felt was in his power, and something that was drafted by Former President Obama, to protect America and Americans from those who would pose as refugees and come here and rape our women and children and kill in the name of Allah!! It has destroyed many lives in countries like Germany and France. I can't imagine any of you admitting to wanting that sort of violent anarchy here. So my question for each of you is this, Which is greater in your heart of hearts, Your disdain for President Trump? Or your desire to be rightfully safe in America?
